What's the differences between active BMS and resistor BMS?

I. Active BMS is with Max 2A balancing current. If using balancing module, it can do Max 5A balancing current. This will make the balancing quickly. Passive BMS is only 80mA balancing current Max.

II. The Active BMS will not cause high temperature. But the Passive BMS will do. When discharging current meet 100A continuous discharging current, we will not supply Passive BMS but only Active BMS.Summarized at big capacity and high discharging current need to use Active BMS.

But some European customers like to use the Active BMS for also electric bike battery packs. Because the cells are very expensive, and BMS is not very expensive. They would like to use an Active BMS to keep the battery work in best condition
